In an odd way it almost feels easier to win than the league from here when it can potentially be won with 3 0-0 draws. Of course that will be the death of football and there will be mass calls to void the whole season if it happens. But Ronaldo's Portugal pretty much won a Euros that way and even Messi and Argentina lost a group game and then drew their way through the knockouts to win the World Cup.

I dont know. I mean, we're certainly capable of beating them. We kicked the shit out of them in the group stage, but i know we were a different team then. Given that we are away in the first leg, i suspect that we will try to keep it tight and nick a goal, much like we did against Sporting. In our run back in 05-06, we 0-0 and 1-0'd our way to the finals. (i know, we beat Juve 2-0). And we certainly had a much worse team and defense back then.

I just hope the team doesnt forget to show up. It was good we won v. Newcastle so we didn't go into the game on the back of 2 losses.

Strange game for me, I have not felt any of the build up, at all. Maybe as I have a lot of work and shit outside of work and did not have time for it, or maybe the way the season went in the last few weeks have sucked the joy out of me.

I don't know, I read online they have been resting players every week, they did the same for the Barca tie, and I assume they will rest all of them at the weekend...They are a good team, I have no idea how this will go.

MistaT Yep this is the front line I want to see today. Don't want to rush Saka in, especially with such a difficult match on Saturday. We can always bring him in later in the match if needed. Would like to see Calafiori though.

samthegooner -- I'd happily give Calafiori some minutes as a sub, but I think Hincapie is a smarter start. He just had one of his best games, and he'll relish the fight vs Atletico.

Let Calafiori play our next league game which should be more open/attacking against Fulham. That's a better fit for his style than a defensive Hincapie.
