MistaT Yep this is the front line I want to see today. Don't want to rush Saka in, especially with such a difficult match on Saturday. We can always bring him in later in the match if needed. Would like to see Calafiori though.
samthegooner -- I'd happily give Calafiori some minutes as a sub, but I think Hincapie is a smarter start. He just had one of his best games, and he'll relish the fight vs Atletico.
Let Calafiori play our next league game which should be more open/attacking against Fulham. That's a better fit for his style than a defensive Hincapie.
Yeah I'd also stick with Hincapie. Cala would have been the better choice if we were expected to break down a stubborn defence at the Emirates. Hincapie is exactly the type of defender you'd like to go to war with at the Metropolitano.
I am strangely quite confidence about this match. i think we'll get a result.
Calafiori is perfectly capable of going to war and he's much better on the ball. A lot of the wars Hincapie gets into are of his own creation, the result of a poor pass or touch.
I like them both but I'd prefer Calafiori's ability on the ball in a tough atmosphere where we are going to need to be brave at times if we want to get out of there with a win. I won't be upset if Hincapie starts but I think I'd rather see Calafiori.
Am I seeing that we actually questioned the height of the grass and made UEFA measure it to make sure it was ok?

Don't like the front 3 but regardless of the occasion, happy to see that Saka is not being rushed. We may not have been in this situation if he was managed better over the years.
That's an awful team. No progression from either full back and that drab, out of sorts midfield. Less said about the front three the better!
