I feel very odd about this game. Going in with a 1 goal lead at home I feel we should be able to navigate this match and progress. But to be honest I thought we would find a way against Bournemouth and that performance has massively eroded my belief in this team to get things done. We desperately need the team to show up, try and actually play football don't retreat into the negative spiral that comes from playing back. That's really what I'm looking for are team going to show more going forwards or is Arteta going to stick to the same old approach which will only further add to my view that we'll drop more points in the league run in.

Im pretty sure injuries are going to decide who plays today. If Cala is fit, he should play. Same with Rice, or Timber or Saka (although i dont think Saka will play). And it seems Zubi and Norgaard (?) are each 1 booking away from a suspension? Ugh. I dont care if Norgaard picks up a yellow, but i would prefer Zubi be available in the semi's (if we get past Sporting)

HomeSteak so should be a home tie against Bournemouth, and that’s no disrespect to them. But apparently he’s bringing fire to it. Think that’s the problem too. These games like Bournemouth and Sporting at home should be just take care of business, not a whole bring your dinner with fire thing.

I'd be fine with playing White today if it meant we could ensure Timber is healthy for Sunday. That is far more important in my mind, even though I feel like tonight is going to be a tough match. If we have to line up with White against City then I am going to be even more nervous.

Regardless, as with the match against Bournemouth we should still have enough to beat Sporting. Should being the operative word.
