Coombs I'm also over this excuse, but not neccessarily because @DiabyKungFu . It's just that you can't sign Eze, Gyokeres and Madueke for this kind of money and then go "all our good players are out" when they have to play. That just means it's still on the guy who bought those players.

Noni has been horrible and the fact was we knew it - It's the 2nd time Arteta went down that route to a player chelsea were happy to get rid, thinking he could improve them (First was Kai who was originally coming in as Xhaka's replacement)

awooga83 on the other hand, it is possible to 0-0 your way to a knockout cup. Portugal won the Euros with 1 win and 6 draws didn't they? Even Messi's Argentina lost a group game and drew their way through the knockout rounds. But somehow we need to find 5 wins and a draw in the league.

what i noticed is that the more shit opposition fans (especially chelsea ones) give us over buying chelsea trash the more defiant some of our fans are and want to double down on it being the right move and the player is actually really good. even kai's chant is defiant. no it really is money down the drain. and the club will probably double down and extend his contract instead of letting it run out.

i honestly can't believe the man who had no time for nicolas pepe saw something in noni. if noni ever in his life produces a season like pepe's 20-21 i would be shocked.

Hey guys. Has such a wonderful time at the game yesterday. Quick thoughts. Felt it was a strong performance overall. We’ve lost a lot of the basics on both attack and defense. Yesterday, we rediscovered how to defend. Shape was great. They had to score a goal, but were unable to get through. The central four were especially robust. Along with Hincapie. Saliba is an absolute Rolls Royce of a player.

Further up, Eze wanted the ball, and he made a few proactive passes and shots. Which I enjoyed. Took central positions. And he was the reason we were on top of them the first 20 minutes. Eze totally skinned a guy on the rear touchline, which got people on their feet.

Drawbacks: we know about the front 3 of Madueke, Gyokeres and Martinelli. I think each of Gyok and Martinelli are fine, but only if played alongside creatives like Saka and Trossard, so they can be used as outlets. But that threesome together is bereft of any imagination. Madueke is not up to standard.

Overall, happy we are in the semis. It’s mid April and we are in the two big competitions. This hasn’t happened since 2004. Thankful for the small things.
