I'll take this type of performance and result against City at the weekend all day long, but tonight was a good opportunity to build up some confidence for the weekend. Don't know if the likes of Madueke, Martinelli and Gyokeres will take anything from tonight.

The second positive after from reaching the semis is that Eze looked sharp tonight and I hope he's got some magic in him on Sunday.

Sporting aren't no mugs, they are a good team. We did better in attack but clearly this front three simply doesn't work. Still we got over the line and onto back to back semi finals.
