I thnk maybe Myles is playing to help mitigate the fact that the Rice-Zubimendi pivot otherwise ends up way too deep and has a disconnective effect on our midfield. The alternative is to drop Havertz deeper, but that's exactly when he becomes useless: he should play like Eze does, almost in line with Gyökeres.
