Didn't think we were going to get the goal so a lovely way to take the win and great ball by martinelli and touch and finish by Kai. Luckily Kai scored down where the away fans are great moment. Taking a lead is nice and plays into the war Arteta likes to set up.

The performance generally makes me think we will get knocked out when we play one of the heavy weights but it's we can get to the semi we can see what happens.

Not so fussed about the performance. The 2006 run had similar performances against Juventus and Villareal away.
This team, however, is just not enough of a consistent attacking threat. Struggling to feel excited for this tournament because there's such an attacking firepower mismatch between us and the other big teams left in the tournament. Feel like, ultimately, that'll be the reason we fall short again.

Love this place we go away and win against a team that’s scored 13 in last 3 and over 110 goals this season - and folks are miserable. An away win in Europe is a great achievement, especially in a QF.

We played yet another rotated squad with players feeling each other out. And won. Team’s perseverance is admirable

Claudius Think it's the lingering disappointment from the Southampton game that colors a lot of views, and that's fair enough really. If we had played this game first I think more people would concede that it was a professional performance against a difficult opponent though.

We do not do well in cup competitions under Arteta. Plus we are are currently two rather than one level below PSG/Bayern.

this was a decent win though. sportings home form was strong, but on the flipside their record against English teams is awful.
