Meh first half, started well but then meh. Our attackers sub par as usual, Havertz is not fit enough for a game of this intensity and also that miss....he always has that in him. Saka gets worse and worse each passing game, he should not be starting for us at this point.
That City defense is crap and we should be able to score....

The ref looks like he will let them hit us and whistle everything against us, it's critical to sub Hincapie off

Half time came at the perfect time for us, we seemed to be all over the place in the last 5 minutes

we look more artless than usual going forward. we're just going long to gyok and kai, but its not sticking and the ball keeps coming back. going direct isnt the wrong option, as city dont cope well with it, but our forwards aren't controlling the ball enough. going to be one of those long days at the office

Gazza M Gyokeres isn't a target man and Havertz isn't looking his aggressive self when challenging for high balls. As others have said, I think we need to have more patience playing out from the back.

USArsenal

We had more chances than they have for sure. They grew into the game, but our defence is playing really solid and not giving much up. We need that transition and forward play to get better.

We haven't been able to progress the ball from the back, all our moments have come from transitions. Cala on seems a no brainer but I'm not sold on Havertz as 10 except in specific situations, and I don't think this is one of them. Our options are fairly limited though.

It's really tough when Saka is in diminished form. I actually think Havertz/Gyökeres have been decent but we have no threat on the wings. I don't love Leo starting big games since he's not enough of a physical presence. We look really solid defensively though, Hincapie aside.

Other than the one skinning by Semenyo (which came to nothing), i dont think he's been that bad. He's walked the line of the yellow card pretty well. But i can see him being subbed early in the second. We know Arteta rarely makes changes at halftime.

CPM I don't love Leo starting big games since he's not enough of a physical presence.

Bring on Martinelli, or bring on Madueke and move Saka to the left.

We are vulnerable on the left side and some silly moments in the last 20 minutes but not much in it.
