Coombs the whole approach makes no sense to me. If the winger is to provide width, then play them on the side of their stronger foot. If they are to come inside, the fullback must provide the width. We do neither, resulting in centre halves in the box and wingers having to cut back onto their stronger foot heading into traffic with no overlap in support to create space.
