daredevil was the only one who was likely to do something until Dowman came on. I say that, I thought Saka was back at a good level today, especially compared to Wednesday, but Everton weren't giving him much space.

CPM he’s building up nicely as we head to the business end of the season. Will be important next two games.

Wonder how Tuchel is thinking about Englishmen for this international break and the World Cup. Why not, for example leave Saka and call up Eze and Dowman? Lots of completion for places. I worry for Foden and Palmer if everyone is healthy

Was thinking earlier that in all seriousness Dowman should go to the world cup. This really is a special talent we have here.

RocktheCasbah I was happy with the subs , especially Mosquera because we kept getting Saka wide and Timber in the dangerous half space. But Timber is not ideal in these areas because he is so one footed. Not just one footed in passing, but also in control, which you can’t afford in very crowded areas.

Claudius yeah, I don't know what's going on with that. Like you say Timber is so unsuited to being in those half spaces and yet keeps popping up in them. Can only assume it's what Mikel wants as it keeps happening. I'd like it to stop. It might help Saka if it does.

Was good work from Martinelli for the Dowman goal, caught up with him after the initial assist and blocked off the defender near the end just in case he managed to catch up and trip him.

That was the perfect result. I was getting worried we'd win the league without an adrenaline pumping last minute winner. Every run-in needs one of these games.

should've been 35 shots then. Hyperbole, yes, but the number of times we've been in position to shoot but didn't are recorded in this thread. And then you have random shots like Gabi's we have no business taking.
