So teams want to play football against us but we're the ones making them use low blocks - despite the fact that we've seen variations of it since the heyday of Mourinho and Liverpool and City have both struggled against and complained about it. Right!

It was a very good performance today and a big part of that is Spurs left tons of gaps for us to play into. If we played teams like Spurs and Wigan every weekend - we'd have no issues playing free flowing football.

daredevil yeah. This isn’t rocket science. Rosenior will watch this and set up exactly as he did in the League Cup semi final. Very defensive, hoping for counters. And we will be back to @Gurgen saying Arteta detests attacking football. Spurs were abject. Had two weeks to prepare to just sit and contain us and couldn’t do that right.

tazmania agreed but as I mentioned in the other thread this one week off will do the world of good. And we don’t go into it with ppl labelling us as bottlers etc. if I was Arteta I would give the players the next two days off.

Chelsea also have a week off but must still be pissed off about that late goal they conceded v Burnley.

First away NLD I've been to since the 2000s and what a great result and performance to lift everyone's mood. Sky gave Gyokeres the MOTM award but I have to say Eze looked the best player on the pitch by far. God he must hate Spurs as much as me.

Back four + Rice looked nervous and wobbly for 2/3rds of the game, but after the first 10 mins it felt like a game that would take a lot of effort and bad luck to drop points in, given the midfield and attack were in an aggressive attacking mood and Spurs are the second worst team in the league right now.

On the bright side next season Scum won't have their guaranteed 6 points against us and city will have at least 5 more points each season...

at first i was like that's some serious optimism to think their new manager will beat us and then i realized they're talking about them not being in the same division as us. relegation really is on and not sarcastically either.

What a performance and result. Just didn't see anything like that coming. Great story for Eze. Dream move to his boyhood club and 5 goals against Spurs in his first season. Fun fact, he's already our 3rd highest scorer against Spurs in the PL. Only 2 behind Pires who always seemed to score against them. And what a day for Gyokeres to find his best performance.
