I really don't think these are gambles we have to make at any rate, neither Yildiz or Kroupi. If Kroupi turns out to be outstanding there's not gonna be much difference between his fee now and his fee then. Let's just get him if that's the case. Spend £120 million on a ready player instead of £90 million on someone who might never take the final step. We just need to keep winning in the here and now to ensure we're the club all good players want to come to in England.

I would buy Kroupi now and take on the risk and time factor of his injury recovery. These are the sorts of players (like when Doué went to PSG) that you have to get when you have a chance. They won't be available later.

PSG paid about £43m for Doue and that was only a couple years ago. there is a big difference between that and paying 100m for potential.

Yildiz is not worth the money and the trouble. Would rather keep Martinelli who at least makes runs in behind.

Definitely on board with moving hard for Kroupi in January or next summer.

At this point, I feel like I'd prefer we just keep Martinelli. Personally, I think he can put up some bigger numbers with Odegaard and Kai healthier and Bruno in the team. Get him to close to 15 g/an across all competitions again this season and he might be a much more sellable asset in the summer. If we do sell him, we absolutely have to sign someone with pace IMO.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen yildiz play but if he is a number 10 shunted out on the wing then I don’t want him tbh. We need a player that is a threat in behind with pace and power.

Starting to see a lot of noise around Alvarez. Seems like we are definitely pushing for him. As long as he's committed to us, I love the move as I think he's very good but I know opinion is very divided here.

Mirth It is quite normal for Latin American players to favour Barca/R.Madrid over all others, growing up that is their dream club.

I also don't buy this idea that he is telling us he won't join and we keep going back to ask him again. Arteta is very big on this, if the player isn't fully committed we won't go for him. With all due respect this is Julian Alvarez not fucking Batistuta we are talking about. I think a lot of this him rejecting Arsenal comes from Barca friendly press trying to pressure Atletico to sell him to them.

He is a good player but don't think he is worth the kind of figures being thrown about.

Qwiss We have Marty though unless he's going anywhere. Fully expect a more suitable winger than Yildiz to come in if that's the case; you can't replace your fastest player with a snail that has arthritis in its shell.

I think a lot of the frustration around Martinelli will ease if Bruno is playing as our left eight, or Odegaard plays more centrally
