Part of me thinks that Bruno is pretty much already done, and we, as a club, are just waiting to find out whats going on with Vini. Maybe we dont want to announce Bruno right around when Vini makes his decision, and that news would take the thunder out of the Bruno signing. And if we DO happen to sign Vini (or he at least rejects Real's 'best and final offer', maybe we announce both Brazilians at the same time.

Too many permutations to think of. Hahahaha.

USArsenal Yeah I think Bruno is done. There have been too many decent sources in Brazil saying it's done. I think they are dragging it out this week just to save a little face with supporters and delay the announcement. But I would hope it wouldn't drag on too much longer as I'd like to see him integrated ASAP so we can ideally get him ready for GW1.

We're the reigning champions of a tougher league and we've just played a Champions League final they didn't reach. I wonder how precise contracts get on timing? If Newcastle for example wants a Bruno replacement, how long are we willing to wait for an announcement? Or for him to get integrated in the squad?

And what’s the value to Arsenal for getting him early and into our pre-season? Are we taking about £250k per day? More/less?

Is there a possibility that the fee lessens per day? Or payment terms change?

Newcastle are free to look for a Bruno replacement whenever the f*ck they want. They already know he's gone, and they probably know "approximately" how much they will get for him, so they can start shopping accordingly.

So is mine. It's getting to crunch time and both parties want it so usually they find a way to make it work.

But if it doesn't work out I do think he will leave on good terms and preserve his reputation there so will get them a fee. So I dont think he will run his contract down.

My confidence in Vinicius signing for Arsenal just went from 50% to 96%. This is the same level of confidence I had in Spurs ending up trophyless last season (and also this upcoming season, and the one after that).
