awooga83 for me we never actually needed Ozil. That transfer never sat right with me because we gave up on Higuain to go after Suarez who we missed and then instead of signing the striker we needed we signed Ozil when we already had Santi doing well at AM. It shifted the whole team around to fit in a big star who did seem to have lost some hunger.
With Vini we need a LW, its our main area for improvement and he's basically the best in the world there. We are also bringing him to boost an already champion team not like hoping Ozil would bring us to that level.
Anyway look at others. Bergkamp had failed in Italy and changed us immeasurably when he came. Sanchez didn't really cut it at Barca and was brilliant for us. Vini wouldn't be the first player to move from Real to somewhere else and still be great. He'll also have done his time at Real so wont be hungry for that move like someone who's always dreamed of it but didn't get the chance.
