lorddulaarsenal -- I wonder if part of the reason we signed Gyokeres (instead of an Ekitike/Sesko) is that he was supposed to bring that energy. Full confidence, "give me the ball and we'll score", etc. But that's clearly not panned out and instead we have even less of an attacking plan than past years.
I still don't understand who we expect to score each game. Trossard I suppose, Martinelli here and there, and after that it's a hodge podge of hot potato.
Gyokeres with 8 goals, padded by penalties, is our top scorer and he's tided as the 9th top scorer in the league with 8 other players. One less goal and he'd be the 17th top scorer.
Trossard has 5 assists, good for 7th place, with Odegaard on 4 assists and tied for 8th.
We've seen Man City and Liverpool show that winning a title doesn't require you to have a CF that dominates scoring. But both of those teams had wingers that were scoring for fun, and a creative hub that would rack up assists.
