Tactics We are great at scoring dozen goals in matches where conditions are right but are often found wanting in those tight games where we only create few chances. We lack players up top who can consistently get goals in difficult conditions.

I very much agree with this. It's why I was so disappointed with us signing Gyokeres. As good as he could potentially be for us, he's never going to be what we really needed.

I'm going to defend Trossard. He's objectively been one of the better wingers in the league this season so I don't think he deserves to be lumped in with Gyokeres, Madueke, Odegaard and Eze.

It's time to move on from Odegaard in the summer.

Dom tbh I was going to point out Trossards been better than Ode for 2 years now and that given Gyoks form this calendar year the jury's out on him.

Don Pacifico once your getting so far in terms of time from that I think it begins to look clutching, there's a lot of games and performances since then to say this might be him now and you should be weighting that more heavily then that great season nearly 3 years ago.

I think we all knew it was always going to come down to the game at Man City. We know they probably win every game from here, we've all seen this film before. Gut feeling is the league is probably still too tough an ask.

I think they have the better attacking/scoring potential, and we have the better potential defensive make up. I lean on potential heavily because neither us or them have been strong and consistent in our strengths recently.

The title race will possible come down to who nails down their dominant capability and applies it with most consistency for the last 12 games. Well both probably drop points, to who and how often is the question.

Don Pacifico -- Trossard has been fine.

Our weakest starters are our CFs (all of them, for varying reasons) and our attacking mid (Odegaard off form/injured and Eze). We barely know where our goals are going to come from as a result.

No one here would confidently bet on our next goal scorer, or who's going to provide the assist. For a team that favors "control" we certainly don't seem to have a plan for attacking.

Don Pacifico I had faith before Xmas that he was gonna come back and help raise our level but he's arguably done the opposite. If he doesn't end the season like Dec last year I'd be out trying to buy Rogers or someone.

Claudius you get to use that excuse after you’ve used the likes of Norgaard, White and Eze effectively, and not in situations where they turn out to be the only options.

About 2 minutes before Declan Rice, having been passed the buck, by our club captain who might have shot if only he had a right foot to do it with, tried to pass it onto Gyokeres, a thought had formed in my mind. It was this:

Who is going to be the person who says, "I will stand up and win this league title for you"?

Our £100m signing said, "Let somebody else do it". And that isn't to scapegoat Rice cos I love him, but he had the match on his boot there.

And if he isn't going to do it, I'm not sure who the hell else will at the moment.

Certainly not the skipper anyway.

Tam yeah we have meaningless dominance usually where we aren't actually in any place to hurt the opposition and they are mostly happy with us out wide. It's never like we are peppering their goal

daredevil it’s maybe the system that needs a change / tweak rather than just any individual player.

If we’re accepting of the view the league is getting stronger and we’ll find it harder to break teams down, we then need to evolve with the times and try something different.

Could have won, could have lost. Draw a fair result. It was like playing against a modern Stoke City who could pass it around a bit better. We should have started the game like we started the 2nd half, the City result from the other night played a factor imo. However, 4 points clear is still 4 points clear (plus better GD).

We fight till the bitter end whatever happens.

Sicario2 bit unfair on Brentford. We've spent squillions on this squad and dish up bang average football.

We had about 30mins of good play in this match (10mins before half time/20mins after) and that's me being generous. We got what we deserved.

Team is starting to remind me of the same team we were seeing last season. I.e score 1 goal and let the other team back in it. Don't create enough to win it. Game finishes 1-1. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a few more 1-1s before the season is out.

We've now put ourselves in the position of having to beat both Spurs away and Chelsea at home if we want to win the league. We've also been shit in the big games so don't have high hopes there.

Same old shit we've seen before from this team. I won't trust them again until they get a big trophy over the line.
