CPM in isolation a point isn't terrible vs. a good side. Drawing against crud like Forest away, losing at home to Man Utd and playing like wimps against a flaky Liverpool home and away is, however.

SimplyThePest The Premier League is hard. Even the Invincibles drew 12 matches in a significantly inferior league. We're frustrating to watch at times and our attacking situation is a mess, but we're still in fine position. We just played one of our hardest remaining games on the schedule. Win the next two matches and there's a good chance our lead goes back to 6+ again.

Qwiss You can't argue we were better after Ode's introduction. He won the ball and created the chance that Rice should have scored from but decided to go for a pass.

He did disappear just like everyone else after we took the lead.

The reality is these types of results are what people feel Arsenal will deliver when the pressure is there people think we will give away something and unfortunately we continue to do that. This is the first time in a while City applied a bit of pressure to us and we weren't able to get the result to dismiss it.

Mirth good point. Yeah I can see that. The pressure does seem to have been building, and you’d have to say that collapsing in on ourselves after taking leads is a sure fire sign of it taking effect on the pitch

You might be being a bit generous there to think we'llbe ahead by that point. Still need to play Brighton away, a schizophrenic Chelsea at home, and Spurs away all before the City away game with Newcastle up right afterwards. Not to mention EFL, CL and FA Cup games in between.

We may be 2nd for goals scored but we aren't a great attacking side. We are a side that defends really well and at a critical juncture in the season like today when you take an undeserved lead, you buckle down and ensure a clean sheet. You rely on your strength and unfortunately we aren't being able to do so.

Rohit We haven't been a top attacking side for a number of years now. It's criminal this hasn't been adressed despite having sufficient funds for it.

Claudius low xG doesn’t mean we weren’t attacking or looking to work the game, it just shows we weren’t creating many chances. A familiar story this season.

Claudius you get to use that excuse after you’ve used the likes of Norgaard, White and Eze effectively, and not in situations where they turn out to be the only options.

These away performances are now a pattern. Soulless football combined with senior players buckling under pressure. Gabriel, Raya and Timber making mistakes and Rice shirking responsibility sum up why we probably don't have the bottle to win the league by making City a non-factor.

Kind of feel City will have to drop points in four more games for us to limp over the line.

I don't think our attacking play today was much different than it was against Leeds (outside the last 30 minutes) and Sunderland. Funny that we somehow scored 7 goals combined in those games. I thought that we had some of the worst attacking play all season in those games.
