Burnwinter as a decent Spanish speaker, it was funny listening to people in Porto try and explain the difference between the two last year. It sounds like Spanish, but it also sounds like Russian... WTF?

I overheard a guy in my work on the phone to family years ago and thought he was speaking an Eastern European language I couldn't place. I knew he was half Portuegese but at that point hadn't been there, and would never have guessed.

I speak Portuguese fluently (Brazilian Portuguese) and have a hard time understanding Portuguese from Portugal. Very muffled.

Fucken hell Bob Katter is a nutcase. The "I've punched people in the mouth for less than that" interview is one of his best. Someone I know well works in the Federal govt and their section used to get rung up by Bob a lot. They have a special contact person for him now because most people refused to deal with him. I think he does suffer from some form of derangement.
