Farkers half time changes were really smart. Credit to Arteta though after our first round of subs we controlled it again.

any chelsea lineup that has cole palmer, caceido and fernandez in it is a strong lineup for them. they have a bunch of interchangeable parts and that's their biggest problem. so they aren't prioritizing tuesday, just doing their normal chop and change.

Claudius 2.3 and 6 of that came in the second half once the game opened (edited to add) and / or subs started to impact it.

It’s entirely appropriate to have a conversation about our creativity is someone wishes to discuss it, and doesn’t detract from a good win or our ability to be happy that we have done so.

Tam conversely the big complaint around here has been that we don’t kill off teams. We found a team that opened up. We got 2 goals. They got back into the game. We killed it off with 2 more goals. Beautiful

Claudius getting 2 up forced them to play and we weathered the storm and counter punched beautifully. People really underestimate how defensive teams set up against us. Leeds first half plan was to get 10 behind the ball and lump it to DCL.

Claudius of course, totally agree. But positive moves in one area doesn’t mean we should overlook others or that people shouldn’t be allowed to discuss them. There’s often an urge on here to push people away from talking about perceived negative topics in favour of just being grateful we won. You can do both. If you don’t want to discuss certain things just scroll past and let others who do get on with it.

I’m not down on it, it’s a great result to be picking ourselves up with after Man Utd (and Kairat - I wasn’t particularly impressed with our showing in that game to be honest) and I enjoyed seeing some good moments. Gyokeres getting a goal will be good for his confidence. Jesus scored a goal we generally seem incapable of scoring. Madueke’s confidence should be high and he’ll be wanting to seize and opportunity with Saka seemingly out for a few games. All great takeaways from the game.

Qwiss a common refrain. I don’t think most people do. ‘Most people’ maybe would just like to see Arteta try something other then hoping a corner digs us out. In fairness, we have had success with it but without in general play we are pretty toothless and don’t appear to be willing to try much different to what we are used to. There’s little innovation or evolution in the tactics.

Got a feeling the Leeds fans only stayed for as long as they did to watch our corners. There's something dramaturgical about them.

I've criticised Arteta for various things, but unironically love those corners!
