I get what Ian Wright is trying to say here and he isn't wrong either in suggesting there are some in the media who give black players a much rougher ride.

However it should be pointed out that Tuchel shouldn't be implicated in this and should be pointed out that he seems to prefer Morgan Rogers over Bellingham which doesn't suggest racism but more a tactical or personality thing.

I don't know that anyone's arguing Tuchel is a racist with his selections, the guy's more than capable of backing a "match-winner of colour".

It's a case of walking and chewing gum. Ian Wright is correct about the English press, but Jude Bellingham also gives the strong impression he's a private enterprise with a diva attitude and a pushy dad.

Burnwinter they're all private enterprises at that level. Haaland sure is, Kane is, Mbappe is, Messi is, Ronaldo, is, Vini Jr is, etc Which out of those players and Bellingham get the most shit? That's what Wrighty is getting at. If you are a white player you are let be your own industry, let be the super-duper-star. Nothing Bellingham has done is beyond the pale, he's arrogant but that's not a barrier and never has been. He's progressional and he's world class. I like Morgan Rogers but Bellingham is a level above. Tuchel needs to be careful because the expectation on England are back to being really OTT now so if he doesn't win the WC and he's dropped Bellingham it'll be a blood bath for him.

And all this because he was frustrated at being subbed. He didn't even act out, he walked over slapped hands with Rodgers and acted like a normal pro.

Burnwinter this exactly is not one or the other.b the press are really bad at how they report on non white players for England. Bellingham also has a petty immature attitude. I know I've said it a lot but he was a total dick in how he went and the Madrid game against us. It wasn't I'm going to show I'm a better player it was I'm going to get hurt you because I'm not having a great game. That's being a total dick especially to a fellow countryman who was it's t just a teenager.

Lots of players do have a bit of ego but they get away with it once there contribution is insane, nearly every game they make the difference and that isn't Bellingham for England right now. Someone like Kane doesn't get it because he has no personality so there isn't anything to get angry at but he got criticised at the last euros for being accommodated as well.

Bellingham is definitely a prick but that just comes with the territory when you're a galactico. He's a far cry from the kind of prick that Pogba is, for instance. Bellingham's a serious player and not just a brand.

Ancelotti compared him to Kaka the other day, and Ancelotti should know because he is the one who built and configured Kaka. I don't think he's out of order with that comparison. This is a bloke who might win the ballon d'or one day. I don't think England has anyone who even is in that ballpark; maybe Saka with an outside chance, but we'd have to win everything for him to be seriously considered.

If I ran the English FA I'd sack whoever decided to bench him for a pear like Morgan Rogers. Better to just rip off that bandaid right away and get on with it. I'd make sure the team was built around Jude as a 10.

The English football press is racist. Bellingham is a prick. Yes, lots of England's top footballers have been pricks and England has suffered in past international competitions due to ego battles. However, the current English selection (eg take the starting XI versus Albania) has pretty few big egos.

Meatwad That single minded and selfish attitude is what you need to to excel at that level, it will rub some people the wrong way but that is what you need to do.

I saw something the other day on Twitter and wonders if the stick Bellingham is getting is due to him snubbing the PL, Liverpool threw the kitchen sink at trying to sign him and it really hurt their people they couldn't pull that signing off. Liverpool have a lot of friends in the media....

JazzG I don't agree some of the attitude he's shown as I said was not that trying to hurt people because you had a shit game it's not about being at the top. Also for England Bellingham doesn't make the difference enough to get the pass that a Ronaldo or Henry would have got. He's got to get there before it gets overlooked.
