Look at the rough ride Rashford & Sterling have got rough rides from the media over the years. Yet every conversation is about how to shoehorn Cole Palmer and Foden in, both players who could count on one hand the number of top performances for the national team.

eze scoring an absolute beaut out of that 0.03 chance took attention away from the fact that foden the genius made the wrong pass. the correct one is to saka.
It’s mad that Foden spotted that tuft in the turf so he could make the ball bobble therefore enabling Eze to get unconventional flight on his finish.
The commentary on the ITV highlights also went to great lengths to point out Foden's genius in the move, despite the pass having no pace on it and requiring Eze to deliver an exceptional finish, rather than passing in front of him so Eze could run onto it and shoot from an easier position.
