I think the central trio of Rice-Merino-Gyökeres is just very clunky. Not a nimble or fluid footballer in the bunch, nobody playing in the space between the lines. Gyökeres isn't getting service and the goal-scoring abilities of Rice and Merino work much better with a link striker. It needs to change as soon as possible.
