MistaT I’m torn which team I want to get knocked out. Newcastle go out then that’s one less English team to worry about. Newcastle go through then on paper slightly easier than facing Barca in a semi and it means more games for them as we play them in the league end of April.

Coombs I'll never root for the team that literally used the same plane that the Saudi assassins used to go dismember Jamal Khashoggi so its a case of the lesser of two evils for me. Also I think we would crush this Barca team whereas Newcastle always gives us a tough go.

Barca with a penno.. 3-2 (Yamal puts it home). This is such a ridiculously open game, and Newcastle have been every bit as dangerous to Barca as they have to Newcastle.

Fuckin hell.. 7-2.. Newcastle looked decent and dangerous in the first half. They totally fell apart.

I think we are still vulnerable like the PSG match last year if we come up against a good efficient attacking side and we have the type of day where we struggle to create I think we will go out and we still have that in us

awooga83 I would agree but it would also have to be a side that can defend/press to a high level and personally I think this Barca team falls far short of that PSG team on that front.

The biggest problem with facing a team that plays a high line is they lure you into playing more vertically and taking more risks and an open game suits Barcelona more than it does their opponents - unless you can outscore them.

We also didn't fare well against a high lines in the past when Villa done the double over us.

I definitely prefer Atletico over Barcelona.

daredevil we already smashed Atleti so I prefer them too but we shouldn't be afraid of this Barca side either. Newcastle was cutting through them in the first half here.
