Good stuff from Hincapie but as Arteta rightly realised, Calafiori should really start these games against defensive low brow Premier League grifters. Brings much more variety to the attack.
Gurgen Calafiori is peerless and I think Arteta knows it too, but Hincapie has been such a great signing for us. He's made me a fan with his natural aggression and steely mentality. The type of bloke that would ask you to raise the temperature if you threw him into a volcano. Successful teams always have a couple of them.
Klaus he’s a winner and so is Gyokeres. Is it a coincidence they are playing their best football for Arsenal in the business end of the season? The best part about these signings are they are recent league winners and have no Arsenal emotional baggage (say like an Odegaard).
He's great and as a defender someone you can just trust to come in wherever and not fuck up.
It’s a similar situation at RB, timber is the more reliable defender but White is the better attacker.
Arteta still trusts Hincapie though
Sicario2 Made the same point in some other thread, but that mentality is everything. You need players who know what it's like to win. They don't just cope with pressure, they thrive on it. It's invaluable.
Plenty to love about Calafiori, but when you need a job done it’s clear Hincapie is the man.

Winner mentality. I whine a lot about Arteta, but he knows how to find/play winners. Hincapie, Timber, Gabriel, Saliba and Calafiori are all mentally extremely tough.
