Liverpool players getting frustrated, they dont like it up 'em.
Salah blocks Gabby yet they get the fk, ridiculous
On the upside, Mosquera is playing like he's already got two seasons as an Arsenal starter under his belt. Proper centreback business from us.
We have to make it count. All this useless domination and touches in the box are useless
tazmania are you the artist formerly known as naz?
I'd take a draw but be frustrating if we don't win - based on the evidence so far, they are there for the taking.
Only Arsenal would have 5 players on the break and pass back slowly
tazmania so frustrating
Don Pacifico i am, changed it yesterday to match my user name elsewhere
The good news is what we have some difference makers on the bench and Liverpool kinda don't have many.
HT 0-0. We've been the better team, (but not playing that great) lets hope we can sneak a win here,
Just gotta be patient. We can bring Dowman on to give Kerkez a haircut after Madueke has terrorised him for another half hour.
Takedown on Timber was a little bit dodgy but I think Mac Allister got a toe on the ball.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I love how we can travel to Anfield against this free-scoring Liverpool team and they barely threaten once in the first half. Need to win the game with subs around 65'.
tazmania nazmania.
Merino and Martinelli off, Eze and Nwaneri on please.
Burnwinter I wonder if we're also doing it to try to invite more transitional opportunities. Feels like we've decided we're not going to get much joy through the middle of the pitch.
What the fuck was that slowing down of a counter to the point we just gave it up and passed backwards? Honestly if that kind of thing is instruction, Arteta can get to fuck. Mourinho levels of dull.
Lukazan looks like we’re playing for the draw but I hope things changes when we bring Eze and Ode on for Mart and Merino.
Saka playing instead of Madueke and this is 1-0 at least. No offense to Noni, he's doing alright
tazmania Yup, Madueke has been fine but you're always gonna miss Saka.
Don Pacifico yeah but he's so slow
tazmania he's been ok but he's not really doing much. We are getting great balls to him in space over and over, his pace is a weapon but apart from the shot that got deflected he's just been running into dead ends. He's been an outlet though which is more than you can say for anyone else. Our attack has been way too quiet. Eze needs to come on soon.
Liverpool away is the toughest game of the season and I think we've had the better of that half without saliba ode or Saka.
Speedster perspective is good. We've also got by far the strongest squad in the league and are setting up tactically to control rather than create chances. It's not good enough.
Very good half at Anfield from us. I don't understand the need for Merino though. Eze could have worked as hard and gives a better chance at 'moments'.
Rohit I don't understand the need for Merino though.
Feels like he's there primarily to lead the press.
Rohit Merino could be very useful if Liverpool figure out a way to stops from building up from the back (wouldn't put it past Slot to do that in the 2nd half - that's his greatest strength IMO), we could just hit it long to Merino who can knock it down to Noni or Gyokeres
Zubimendi is absolutely fantastic by the way.
est He's so tidy. Very much enjoying his first time pigeon-toed lateral passing, he always closes the side of his foot in a way that gives his man an extra couple of yards of space to avoid getting closed down.
A bit more quality in the final third and we're winning this comfortably.
