FEBravo I don't honestly think Koscielny was at, say, Gabriel's level today as an all round player, but he didn't have quite the same tools, support or preparation. I do think he deserves to be in this discussion as much as Steve Bould or Kolo Touré.
Standards were worlds apart in the past. Gabriel and Saliba are both much better on the ball than the average centre half we once would pretend could play defensive midfield, someone like Chambers.
Still troubles me that Koscielny, this defender who could pocket any player in the world, anyone at all, on the right day, sometimes gets talked about as if he were a Senderos level mental biscuit (and I liked Phil as well).
