JazzG Not strictly PL related but that is quite scary for a young player to completely lose memory from a game like that just from taking a ball to the face/head. Hopefully no longer term problems arise from this.
I experienced that first had over Christmas 2023 playing 8 a side. I was playing in defence and apparently got a blow to the head as I was trying to head the ball away in the second half.
Despite the blow leaving me on the ground for a minute and feeling kind of woozy, I apparently played on for another 15 minutes or so before signaling I was dizzy and needed to go hospital.
I have no recollection of any of that, or as a matter of fact anything from that day aside from "waking up" at the hospital. I use the air quotes because I was told I was awake throughout and talking to the doctors about the tests and everything, I just to this day don't remember any of it.
