Don Pacifico but why spend another few seasons repeating the job done at Bournemouth but at another club when you've got bigger teams interested in you?

Well, London. Never really looked at it before, but I've just checked and Iraola's very family-oriented. Not so surprising for someone who grew up in Arteta's mode in Basque country. He spends his summers in Bournemouth apparently, and he's claimed he wants to foreshorten his career in coaching. Makes sense he might seek a move to a club within arrow-shot of a later move to Arsenal or Chelsea.

The champions league is the real test because the best teams from Europe compete here. Once you get past the biggest teams in each continental league, the rest of the league is quite weak. I think PSG and Bayern each inbound for around 20% of wages in their respective leagues. They’re overpowered and well rested.

The teams below them - the ones playing in Europa and Conference - are quite weak and would mostly be in relegation zone in England. So I fully expect a shush team to win the lower two cups pretty much every year. But the champs league will still offer some resistance

I'm assuming you don't have any mates who were falsely accused of messaging 15 year olds as your comment appears to be very accepting of the fact that these messages are true, accurate and an indictment of Jiminez's behaviour, much in contract to the Partey situation.

Bournemouth have suspended him now pending an investigation. Wonder what stopped us doing similar.

Brings to mind the case of Adam Johnson which was quite similar except he actually did meet the kid, and kissed and groped her. He received a 6 year prison term. While this is very creepy behaviour in Jimenez's case, I don't think it will nor should it be treated the same as Johnson's case if it stopped at this conversation.

"We don't believe you" is doing a lot of work here. "It would be far more inconvenient and costly if we said we believed them" is my guess as to what was said at Arsenal between Arsenal checking the facts and the consequences, and Arsenal communicating its position to the complainants in Partey's case.

Yeah it’s only statutory rape if it actually happens, but I’m also not sure of the implications if he’s pulled back. I say if because I haven’t seen any more than the short three or four images that initially appeared, so I don’t know how bad the conversation was or how it ended. They didn’t appear overtly sexual, but I suspect if there was more than we’ve seen in terms of messaging from Jimenez being sexually explicit, or a more concrete intention to meet, he’d still find himself in trouble. That’s how all these Facebook online paedo sting operations still get convictions; the intention is enough to charge and convict even if no act has taken place.

An employer can suspend someone for scummy behaviour without an actual crime having been committed or proven no? That’s exactly our problem with Arsenal and Partey.

sure, but the part that you all are overlooking is that football clubs know the kind of women that are on the prowl trying to bag a footballer and they frankly don't find them credible. that's what it boiled down to at arsenal, they listened to the story, checked with their investigators and said we don't believe you.

with a 15 yr old and text messages the clubs are going to be like you should never be texting a 15 year old you are not related to. so even before we get to the sexual aspect of it, you fucked up even if you were just helping them with their homework.
