Its amazing how many deluded fans are out there saying "penalty all day long". It was a very clear dive. The defender did yank him a bit outside the box but barely had his hand resting on his shoulder as they went into the box, and then took his hand off and THEN he went down like he's been shot.

Horrible decision for not only the penalty, but also the red card.

USArsenal because Sky said it was right. That is what influences most people. It was a horrible decision. There is no way Cunha is being impeded in the box. It would have been a soft free, its an insane penalty and red card. Worst of all it screwed me as I was in the last 2 of my football clubs Last Man Standing and the other guy had United.

Slot's rattled and joyless. He's been found out quite a bit without his blind good luck and cheat codes. I appreciate him a little bit more now he's not sucking himself off constantly and twigging he'll eventually get sacked if his team doesn't improve. He feels a bit more the way a Liverpool manager should feel, kinda belligerent and brittle and a bit stupid, like Rodgers.

I'm curious about how everyone interprets Manchester United's return to form?

Is it easy being a man manager and getting more out of (talented) players when the prior coach was asinine?
Is it just another sysyphian push and more a mirage of progress than anything to actually build upon?
Should Amorim have accepted a results oriented approach this year to save himself?

It was obvious for months that a return to a 4-2-3-1 would dramatically help their midfield defensively and Fernandes offensively. I think it was also smart to ease Sesko (back) into the squad via sub appearances where pressure was limited, but rewards (game winning goals) were immense. But neither of these moves are really anything outside the obvious, and I don't see how they build up Manchester United to start next season's campaign off any better than targeting The Prize.

They're in one competition and enjoying a new manager bounce. I can't see it lasting over the long term. They'll be amongst the top 6/7 next season but I don't think they are a serious threat. They were also handed their win this week by the ref. When things are going your way you get calls like that.

Because Carrick is such a turbo-normie, a squad that's had trauma bonds with the idiosyncrasies of ten Hag and now Amorim has finally hit rock bottom and realised it was doing it all to itself. They're still seasons away from having a squad they may never get, but the problem is for now decisively more the owners than the players or manager.
