One conspiracy theory that I actually believe is that the referees are pressing their thumbs on the scales when it comes to the "semi-automated" offsides so as to bias towards not ruling out goals. If they were really just calling balls and strikes, then you would expect the number of situations where the player is onside by an inch and the number of situations where the player is offside by an inch to be close to 50-50. Instead, it seems like their has been a ton of "onside by an inch" and I cannot remember a single "offside by an inch" this season.

Sicario2 it's not silly. i'm of the same opinion as wenger on this one where advantage should always be given to the attacker and toenail offsides foolishness does not give advantage to the attacker. 5cm grace resulting in a thicker line is good.

Been watching a ton of football last few weeks. League is incredibly tough. Every game is a battle. Which makes me think of the common refrain from @Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert and others that we are incredibly boring. Which premier league teams do folks genuinely think are more exciting / better than us?
