MistaT Depends on whether or not Eze plays regularly and with some stable position. If he does, I'd expect him to have more G+A. If he plays on and off and across different positions like last season, both Eze and Odegaard will disappoint.

I reckon Eze was told and drilled about this and he completely switched off, probably what pissed him off. It is a problem with Eze, this carefree nature sometimes works in his favour but also makes him drift out of games and go missing.

I think he is a lot better on the left though.

He cuts inside too much. Think we will lack width on that side with Tzolis and Eze always coming inside but with Calafiori making runs all day - it might work as it has done all season so far.

JazzG there was still one time towards the end he switched off but it didn't amount to anything. It's just not something he does naturally so he has to focus extra hard to do the defending. He will always be a bit of a liability in that sense but it's the trade off with what he offers going forward, and that same thing that makes him not that great defender is what allows him to improvise and be creative. He will always struggle with Arteta who prones defensive solidity above all else.

FEBravo I'd argue the tradeoff isn't worth it. he isn't an elite chance creator/finisher. Compared with a Merino for instance who has great defensive and general work rate, as well as finishing instincts. Eze has been distinctly mid so far.
