He's a difference-maker and not a coordinator or a tactical foundation, nor a reliable creator of chances from the inside. Still got us the winner versus Palace with a finish not many would have managed, and that was a great example of the kind of match we persistently drew prior to his arrival.
I certainly don't see him starting on the left either, not if Madueke returns to form and fitness—it'll be between Noni and Gabi, as they offer the width that Eze won't. I suspect we'll see Eze supplant Trossard in due course as a bench option and intermittent starter. He offers an advantage over Tross on mobility, strength and beating his man, even if no player we have outdoes Trossard's minute-by-minute end product.
