He wanted to come here, but we did not make a move. The reality is, the way Arteta sees things he sorted the LW. Madueke is the new starting LW. As a Saka sub he has options there, Madueke and start Martinelli on the left, or even just sub in Martinelli on the right, let's be real for a second here, Saka plays as many games as his body can take before he gets injured.
So if LW is sorted, where does Eze play? In front of Rice or Odegaard? No change. Rice is good, Odegaard can literally take a sit on the pitch and smoke for 90 minutes, he does not get replaced. The only way for Eze to come here would have been if Nwaneri left or on the LW...but that was over once we signed Madueke, and probably even if he did not, one of Trossard or Martinelli would have had to leave...that is not happening either by the looks of it.
