Sicario2 yes, he was very refreshing in the first half against Burnley.

Something that seems clear with him is that he can dig out a decent ball with no time to think when he's on the by-line, but when he's at the top corner of the box, with time to think, his crosses (on his strong foot as well) are absolutely dog shit and rarely clear the first man.

JazzG unfortunately there were signs prior to the move which left some questions. His technical quality is low and many of his chances were getting away from poorer defences so that looked to be one of the questions about how that translates to the premier league and it looks not very effectively

He dragged two players with him for Trossards goal. He was too busy pressuring their midfield on the cutback from Rice, that's on Arteta for demanding he throws his weight everywhere

Seeing him in person made me get a better feel for him. My word does he have a good burst. Not sure TV does it justice.

He’s not quite on the same wavelength as the players yet, and his play is definitely less sophisticated, but he has that umph factor.

Trossard improved us a lot against that opposition. What a player. I do think Gyökeres being there had an effect and created a bit more space while we were behind. Gyök makes decent runs off the ball and we need that.

When we talked about the benefits of signing Gyökeres in the summer we always made reference to the space he'd create as well as the goals he'd score.

I still think it's partly to do with the team setup and the seeming unwillingness to get the ball to him. Even Saka's goal against Brentford could have been significantly easier had he slipped VG in who was in far more space than he was. Ultimately, had to depend on a deflection to take it over the keeper. I think we miss Odegaard's sharpness as well a little - he has had an on-off season, but if he stays fit in the second half of the season, he needs to start releasing VG far earlier.

And, just for context, Vik was cheaper than Kai. Not that the price really matters.

Even Mbappé struggled in Madrid at first. Chill, people. Our team is a wreck, yet we top the PL and CL tables. Gyökeres is as much a part of that as anyone else, and he's fresh off the boat.

Let it all work out, and if it doesn't, blame Arteta, not the players. They're good enough, I'm sure of it.

Meatwad and drop rice? or zubi? havertz has been awful as a midfielder every time we've tried it. it would take a tonne of rejigging of our approach to justify havertz as an 8.

Havertz has been vaguely okay at right 8 (not left 8) a couple of times.

There's a reason Arteta thought all that nonsense, which is that Havertz is a wild talent. We need him to stay fit and then opinions will be revised over time. If he doesn't, those opinions will never change and rightly so.

However, I don't say he'll ever be worth £350k per week, whoever signed off on that is a fucking moron (Edu?). That's almost on par with Salah. Stupid sort of shit United and Chelsea do, we shouldn't.
