banduan next season will be tough. We should already be moving on a number of guys like Jesus, Trossard, White., etc. rumours and questions around guys like Martinelli. Given that, not the time to gut the squad.

Our continental opponents are playing their best players 50% of the time and being hailed as geniuses. We need to pack in quality so we can rest our best a bit better to compete fairly. So even if you do find a better striker than Gyok, you keep him.

we'll never be able to do that. PSG can rest their best players 50% of the time (or more) because their league is shit. i've seen the PSG chart and that's not possible anywhere else. even bayern's usage is higher, olise and diaz for example have played in 30 league games already (bundesliga and ligue 1 also only play 34 league games).

I know ideally we would have incredible players stacked 2 or 3 deep in each position, but financially, that's just not feasible. I know we've spent a lot the past few seasons, but we don't have unlimited funds. Clearing out some of the big earners and/or dead wood would be good, Jesus being at the top of that list. But outside of a possible LW and a RB (and MAYBE a CM of some kind), i dont think we will spend huge in the summer outside of those positions.

USArsenal I don't know. We have from around 430m pounds in the year after Covid, to approximately 700m pounds now. that is significantly more revenue. If we assume player spend can be 60% of revenue, then that is some 200m more available to transfers and salaries than we would've had in 2021/22. We have the capacity to really improve the squad - and continue to close the gap to player spend by clubs like City, Real Madrid, and PSG.

Meatwad 100% agree. But we can always get closer with slightly better players. We had no problem at left back all season cos we have 3 incredible left backs. What if we add one more incredible midfielder and one more incredible attacker, without removing key players. That is a massive boost.

Was so good today , pity we didnt have an extra forward close enough to him to make those second balls count. Wish we had him at this level earlier but right now I dont care , if he can push us over the line then its job done!

Bulldozed everything that was in his way. All that performance missed was a goal. Our goal came from his run and persistence down the right, and he won almost everything that was sent his way.

His missed chance was uncharacteristic but by no means easy. Saka missed a similar chance vs PSG last year. A high ball coming at pace is never easy.

Great outing from him. Probably my MOTM.

Massive credit to him, he certainly helped will us to victory.

I can imagine a lot of love pouring in from Rice and Gabriel, helped make their responsibilities easier.
