est Pretty much every player we put out there, bar maybe Rice and MLS, looked completely ready and up for it.
Rice has played pre-season in second gear and I'm totally fine with that. He doesn't need to burning himself out before the season even starts.
Big Willie But the carrying and his ability to get high and also wide looking for the ball, whilst a great trait, is something we need to compensate for.
I'm going to disagree. We don't push our full backs up and usually have one sitting as a deep midfielder shapewise when we attack. In most games I feel like we don't commit forward enough and that numbers game is a reason for our lack of space and options around the box. Now obviously if you play PSG or Liverpool you tweak that a bit to be more risk averse but generally I think our base line should be more attacking.
Klaus midfield is his natural position but Myles pre-season isn't a reflection of what we saw from him last season in the league and CL where he was imperious. Obviously he's not hit his full potential at 18 but most of it is there. I think the main thing is to become a bit sneakier with his fouls.
Dom yeah if anything we are still waiting for Calafiori to put it all together while Myles has been the solid one. (and lets not forget outside of Myles, Ethan, Max Cala was the next youngest player in the squad going into summer, Mosquera now.)
flobaba I think it was Adrian Clarke last week say pre-season is for getting excited about the good bits and saying "its only pre-season" about the bad bits.
Dragan I like that Gyokeres seems to have pushed us into adding another dimension to our play with the early through ball attempts. We still go wide and pump in crosses but its having those different weapons that will make the difference over 38 games. Also good to see Gyokeres thrive on our usual style too.
