TambourineMan Liverpool have had plenty of changes in their team, there is no guarantee they are gonna hit the ground running. Like I said we need to be in the title race by hook or by crook around Christmas time.
Sicario2 And if we didn't suffer our injury crisis mid season we would have caught them imo.
Sicario2 You can either be the half empty or half full type, I think we are both on the opposite sides. Our last season team without improvements is a 85+ point side imo, we've added depth to help with rotation and hopefully we will add another player or two before the window closes to give us a bit extra.
TambourineMan The only time you've needed perfection from the start is when Man City and Liverpool finished with nearly 100 points each, I haven't seen any evidence than any side is gonna hit those heights this season. Apart from that the general trend has been be in the title race by Christmas and then you need to really get going. In 23/24 we had 40 points at the halfway stage and finished 2nd with 89, last season we had 39 and finished with 74. We need to finish the season
Like I said we need to be there at Christmas time, we have shown in the last couple of years we are one of the best at grinding results out so if needed we can fall back on that. We don't need to be playing champagne football day one just so it makes our fans feel a bit better. We have a very tough start to the season which will be in our favour in the 2nd half of the season.
