I want to give this guy his flowers. I know he's been knackered and has struggled recently but he played nearly every minute of every game this season and has been very consistent and reliable in the middle of the pitch.
He was also exceptional at the start of the season. There's no doubt in my mind that the demand of the season took its toll on him.
I really hope he can find his form again, have a mental reset and be even better next season. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Looking back at the highlights of the season - he was top until about the United game when his form dipped. Looking forward to seeing what he can do next season.
Maybe I have been too hard on him . Hope its not a Trossard type personal situation , but end of the day he needs to come back better next season . From February onwards he has not been up to standard
Was really good in the first half but definitely ran out of steam as the season went on.. needs to be rotated more early next season..
But looking forward to seeing more of the Rice/Odegaard/Eze combo, see if we can make it really work..that shit got me excited.
I think he just ran out of steam. This league is really physically exhausting, more so than Spain or any other top league. The grind in each game is different. He started great, and it eventually caught up to him, especially since we've played more games than anyone else in Europe. It takes its toll. I think he will be more aware of what he needs to do next season to last the whole time. (and i think Arteta will also learn that he needs to rotate a little more during the season). We have a legit option to Zubi by releasing MLS into the midfield.
USArsenal yeah, any decline is on Arteta's lack of rotation more than it is Zubimendi himself. Has played more minutes this season tha he has done in any other season of his career in a more physically demanding league in a very physically demanding team.
Up to around Jan/Feb he had been one of our stand out players, coming into a new team and straight into midfield is no small thing. Firstly it is the number of minutes but also when you factor in the intensity of the PL compared to La Liga it is no surprise he looks burned out.
Since then his form has dropped and disappointing some of our fans are in a rush to replace him. Been superb and there is a reason why every top club in Europe was fighting for his signature.

Cannon unless real madrid want him, there is no money in spain to pay his fee or his wages. it's not like his moved failed. shit he played a ton of minutes and never got hurt, that has great value. he might be upset that a 19 year old took his job at the business end of the season, but that just means he needs to do better.

Zubi will be fine. He played way more minutes than he has done in any other season of his career in a more physically intense league. He was great in the first half of the season and he'll be prepared for the rigours of going again come next season. Loads more trophies for him to win.

Rice, Odegaard, Zubi, MLS, Eze (sometimes), Bruno G (most likely), Kai (in a pinch), Merino, Nwaneri, Norgaard (for now unless he leaves). That is some insane depth, and lots of those players can play elsewhere (Eze, Kai, Nwanners, Merino)
As long as he gets breathers now and then, i think he won't be so faded by the end of the season. It was a long-ass season, and his first in a more physically demanding league. He accounted himself well for 2/3 of it.
Rumor is he is being looked at by RM due to missing out on Rodri.
Cannon don’t mind selling him as means MLS will get more game time and we got the new Partey in reserve as well
