And in the ITK world I have to say this summer that hand of Arsenal is having a 10/10. He posted this morning that we will announce him today.

Without the baggage of Ode’s last campaign - a Zubimendi-Rice-Odegaard midfield should be the best in the league and a mighty match for PSG’s midfield.

Norgaard-Merino-Nwaneri is where I would be a bit more concerned.

daredevil I'm reasonably confident on any of those playing back up to their first team counter parts. Nwaneri is very different to Odegaard but in a positive way. The reality is we wont see the 3 of them together much and you also have Havertz who can play midfield when needed.

Its very interesting that the deal was completed in March behind the scenes. All the fear and "its not done til he signs on the dotted line" rhetoric was essentially pointless since he HAD actually signed on the dotted line already, so it didn't matter what Real/Xabi Alonso wanted to do. All the bullshit in the papers was just that, paper talk, as we already had him by then.

It was pretty clear we had this locked up for a while but even so things can change. Get this guy and Gyökeres and we're on our way this summer. I'm really unsure any wide player we're linked with so far decisively elevates our first XI, but Zubimendi and an elite striker have been absolutely vital.

Not sure I've seen much of him that I can remember - the Euros final was 2 days after my Dad's funeral, I remember the goals but little else (don't even remember Rodri going off and Zubimendi coming on tbh). Sounds more exciting than the other rumoured signings so hope he works out. Welcome.
