There is no benefit in him going to the World Cup whatsoever. Keep him away from the toxic cesspool that is the England team for as long as possible.

It would be much more beneficial for him to get a proper pre-season and prepare his body for next season. If we want to take advantage of his quality he needs to be better prepared physically to stand up to the rigors of consistent playtime.

Said it from the moment I saw him: this guy is the closest to Kaka I've ever seen anyone play. It's so eerie. Just make sure we adapt to playing with a second striker over the next 18 months because that's where Dowman is going to dominate.

In the league I still think he’ll likely play RW, and I do wonder if Saka has a shot at permanently moving to our right 8 position? That change doesn’t strike me as Dorman displacing Saka, but rather him displacing Odegaard.

There’s a world where we could raise our floor (Saka takes over for a stalled out Ode) and our ceiling (Dowman brings back the drive to our wing that Saka’s body can no longer accomplish).

MistaT The nice thing about having this problem while you're winning is that it's going to sort itself out, one way or another. There are too many variables that haven't been finalized yet and we can just lean back and see what happens. I'm confident we have the right constellation of players internally to solve the situation, and that's before I'm even counting Nwaneri who's coming back into the squad too. It's going to be great being an Arsenal fan over the next couple of years.

That goal. The ability to head it perfectly in to his stride, to shrug off a seasoned defender, the quick feet to evade the next challenge, and the pace and power to sustain a lengthy run.

I reckon he will get atleast half hour in the cup final next weekend and I am all for that.

I really wonder how many minutes he is going to get in this run in.

We've got 7 cup finals coming up in the league but the majority of them are home matches.
We've got the actual cup final this Sunday.
We've got between 1-3 more FA Cup matches depending on if we keep winning.
And we've got between 1-6 Champs League matches depending on if we keep winning.

So that's a minimum of 10 matches remaining with a maximum of 17 matches remaining. I definitely think he will get some limited minutes off the bench on Sunday and will likely start the FA Cup match against Soton. I could see him being a super sub for the remainder of games but I wonder if he starts any other than the FA Cup. Personally, I think his real value right now is as a dynamic super sub to throw at tired defenses.

Keep him as the secret weapon on the bench if we need him. A Barca or a Real Madrid would be utterly unprepared to face him in the final 20 minutes of a tough fixture even if his reputation will spread a little bit now.

I will admit I am getting a bit over my skis when it comes to thinking about potential lineups next year. But that's what makes things fun.

A lineup of Martinelli - Havertz - Dowman, with Eze and Saka behind them and Rice as the holding midfielder would likely be too attacking but I'd love to see something along those lines (Dowman LW with Saka as the attacking midfielder next to him) next season. I feel like Dowman is the more natural fit on the wing due to his pace while I have always felt Saka would move to the interior as he got more experience.
