Someone referred to him as a cult leader and I think it was spot on. Some of the devotees are starting to question his teachings now, and if we don't win anything, hard to believe the players will still put up with it all. Which is why there is so much anxiety now - everyone, the players, the manager, the fans, know this is it. Next year the wheels will come off big time

I certainly believe this is an inevitable end with Arteta at some point. He's managed to keep it together after other failed seasons but its always a house of cards when so much of it is built on belief in him and his methods.

The most important thing about any manager is the players' belief in him. More precisely, in the idea that his approach gives them the best chance to win. It's why losing the dressing room is always the death knell. Up until now I haven't seen any sign the team has lost that belief, although maybe the turn to conservatism when he says he wants them to play forward is showing it starting to crumble.
If we win either of the remaining trophies it will be strengthened.

Was thinking earlier. We haven't been playing great attacking football this season but at least earlier in the season we walloped a few CL teams with convincing wins. Now we can barely score a goal. We lost consistency and rhythm with these annoying injuries, obvious but it's reality

Not sure if it's just me but whilst I get the frustration after the weekend (and generally the experience of following us this season, which has been a bit torturous at times), I really struggle to understand the vitriol towards Arteta from so many.

He may not be the guy to win us the trophies we desire. He may not be the guy to get us to consistently play champagne football (whether you believe that to be possible in the league at this point in time or not). But he's worked so hard to completely transform the club and unquestionably been a net positive since becoming our manager. Whatever your mileage, I find it hard to believe people really think he's completely useless, even if he may not be a title winner for us.

Basically, he deserves more respect than he's getting, even if you don't like him or don't want him here.

Gurgen all we have from the last few years of Arsene was great football at times and an FA Cup or two.

I remember it being a failure and feeling like shit.
Now we're in the final 4 and top of the league with a crucial game on the weekend. I don't care if we win 1-0 for the rest of the season off 90th minute corners scored by Gabriel's big ass. Just get a trophy and I'll be happily entertained
