Well, our problem last season was that it was almost not up to us if we won the league or not. There was not much more we could do in the last half of the season. We went 16-1-1 and were still pipped by City who went 17-1-0. We were near perfect, but they were even closer to near perfect. I don't think we bottled it last year, City were just 2 points better in the last 18 games. That's pretty much it.
I don't know if its easier to win the CL, we are still missing players (big players) and it will make things more difficult to win. Yeah, we dismantled Real Madrid (and not everyone can do that), but Real was probably the best team we could face in the QF's given how open and unstructured they are this season. Its a huge European scalp, but we need to be even better to beat any of the remaining teams.
