Capi's concerned our midfield would be over-run.
I think that's a concern of the past. There are no longer any midfields in England that can over-run us, very few other than Barca elsewhere in Europe.

We've got the players to play any formation we want. Just need the appropriate work on the training ground and to retune certain players mindsets, notably Cesc and Song.

Yeah. Also needs to get Cesc back to being as aggressive as he was in 07/08. Geezer pulls out of tackles and headers all over the place nowadays and it's not acceptable.

It makes an awful lot of sense. Wenger is under pressure to bring in a big name and will be looking for a striker, seeing as Bendtner is already packing. And Benzema for his part has to move unless he wants his entire career to go south.

My feeling is that we'll only get a big name, big money signing if Cesc or Nasri goes.

I don't see it either. I'm with you on this, our midfield is a disaster zone, and switching to a two would just make things worse. I think Benzema is a very good player, not sure if he has it in him to be a great player, but he's still someone most top teams would be mad to turn down - that said, I don't think switching to a 4-4-2 is a good idea at all, so I struggle to see how Robin and Benzema could play in the same team together.

The price being touted is 20-25m. If we recoup 8-10m from Benders sale, then the net spend is well within Wenger's range. We know Wenger rates him, and he's potentially out of favour at Real if Ade signs with them.

The last time I thought we had no chance of signing a "name" player we were linked with, we signed Arshavin. I'll be following this rumour with interest, tbh.

Wenger has as good as said we're going to play 4-4-2 next season against weaker sides at home.

We need more than one striker of quality, especially when one of them is Robin Van Persie.
