Yep, I've come to the conclusion that his goalscoring numbers are boosted by a mix of both his abilities and the state of the defending in the league. That's why he's throwing up stupid numbers, but his fundamentals are there, his instincts and technique are/have been consistent enough over time. And you remold your attack to ensure his attributes are used and his weaknesses are minimized, ie more direct, transition play. Get him into the box and get the ball to him faster. Let him run the channels and be an outlet, and use that as a plus to counterbalance the natural drop off from Havertz energy and pressing intensity
I think he would complement Havertz nicely by the way if and when they ever play together.
One more thing: show of hands if anyone thinks with Gyokie as our 9, and our designated penalty taker, if we were in a Cup Final we get a pen, who thinks he takes the ball to give it to Saka or Odegaard? 😂
