FEBravo assume shot location is who shoots from the best location according to xG or some other metric. I'd well believe Havertz is high on that because his reluctance to shoot from a lot of areas is a real drawback of his game IMO.

I believe GPR is just "Gemini Player Rating". Stat I'm least interested in tbh.

Oshimen looks like he only cares about making money now, hence the Saudi transfer rumors. If Chelsea didn't want to meet his wage demands last year, I doubt we would.

Out of the options, I'd take Gyokeres. I have a feeling he's gonna have a Harry Kane mid to late 20's production. He reminds me of Diego Costa, and look what happened when Chelsea bought him. Sesko is too raw at the moment for a win now team.

They don't coincide. Odegaards form dropped before Kai got injured. Completely unrelated.

Bernard Woolley yeah even talking him up its "work rate and duels" not silky skills, shooting, nose for goal, etc Kais a decent player but he's someone who needs to be high up in the rotation rather than a starter. These are the margins you need to close to actually win the big prizes.

Wages like Haalands are a reasonable thing to point to but mystery fees are just bullshit excuses. We can only deal in the known. We could afford Kvaratskhelia, we didn't go for him. Honestly this is starting to come across as half excuse making half conspiracy theory at this stage.

I'm using it in the opposite way. The bullshit excuse I keep seeing is that Arsenal are so limited in what they can spend that our relatively meager outlay on some players is the reason we don't buy others, while simultaneously talking down how much other clubs are spending to make it seem like we're more wasteful than we are.

He also managed to get 185 of them into the net though!

Life is just so much easier for everyone with great goalscorers around. Doesn't particularly matter if you put them on the wing or in the centre, but one thing that is even rarer than goalscoring strikers is goalscoring wingers. Gotta have an outlet somewhere.

We decided to play the dark arts of recruitment once with the Pepe signing and that got our DoF fired and set us back another year. I don't want to start working with shady agents again even if they represent some talented footballers. Same with Osimhen - we know Arteta did not get on with egos like Aubameyang so I don't think Osimhen is even in the conversation.

Even though £40m is still a bit steep I'd rather buy him than some we have been linked to. 20+ G/A player and still has a few years in him.

I'd much rather have Gyokeres for 60m than Watkins for 40m personally. I don't mind Watkins and think we should have signed him in January but I want to roll the dice on the prolific striker hitting his prime who hasn't gotten an opportunity to shine on the biggest stage. Watkins is a proven commodity but we'd be back in the market for a striker again in another 1-2 years given his age.

samthegooner It's all about next season for us. If we don't win the PL or CL next year, particularly with the World Cup next summer, I think the wheels start to fall off. Our key players will only have so many seasons playing at the physical intensity Arteta demands.

Klaus Interesting to see the comparison in Aerial% since that has been the hot criticism of Gyokeres online in the past few days. I think it's really tough to judge how a striker is in the air since it's usually so output dependent and you can always find a lowlight compilation on poor headers. For example, I consider Kai to be quite good in the air but he's had some absolutely horrendous attempts on goal from crosses. The main thing I love about Gyokeres is his hunger. He has that striker's personality where he looks like an apex predator whenever he is on the pitch and his sole focus is scoring goals and driving at the net. I think that mentality is something we have been missing for a while now and combined with his ball striking, could be exactly what we need. I understand people's criticisms of his competition level and his technical ability with a loose first touch at times but I have a hard time believing he is a worse player than someone like Chris Wood, who has scored 20 goals this year.

I have a mate who is a United fan and he said this is what really set Ronaldo apart for them. He refused to be left home even when they were playing a bunch of farmers in the early rounds of the league and FA cups. He'd be on the bench and Ferguson would throw him on with 20 minutes to go just so he could put two or three past some blokes who were working part-time as truck drivers. Had the time of his life doing it too, he thought it was an absolute riot.

Klaus It's my biggest concern with Sesko. He has all the talent in the world but he just does not seem to have that apex predator mentality. We already have one of those in Kai (whom I love) but we need a bagman who is going to do everything he can to score goals (and has the talent to do so in spades).
