Gurgen Last summer we had a very quiet window so maybe making up for that but lack of sales is a big worry and this project won’t be sustainable long term unless we can start making some serious money on sales.

or buy big, win big things and make more commercial money. that's another way to stay on the right side of PSR and UEFA's FFP. after years of wenger neglecting the team by acting like it was his money I'm all in on buying like a spoiled child in a toy store. tazmania Defo think we would have been in the conversation. There is a very strong arguments to be made that signing a world class striker, should have been the number one priority of the club but an equally strong argument that our depth is thin and we needed to focus on that more than blowing it on one player.

I’m guessing this would MLS is moving into midfield. I wasn’t really sold on him as a 6 or an advanced 8, but this double pivot system would be a better fit for his skill set IMO. And Merino wouldn’t really be that great in a deeper role, he’s better off higher up.

Sicario2 has an occasional clanger in him but he's very reminiscent of Lucio back in the day, not just saying it because it's a South American playing for Leverkusen. All action defender with great athleticism and seriously strong 1v1, also the only one who didn't drop off after Leverkusen won the double but even improved last season.

Downside is his fitness, has a lot of niggles for a defender, also begs the question when and where he plays. Wouldn't mind it if it means MLS moving full time into midfield.

If he comes we'll have the strongest collection of centre backs not just in Europe but in history, comfortably too imo. Tetanyahu only went and built his own little Iron Dome the madman

But on the fitness issue, I heard this guy only missed two games last season?

Sicario2 before last season he missed a couple games every now and then, tbh I remembered it being more often than TM says. He definitely had two surgeries in the last two years, last one was two months ago.

the key is for their niggles to not overlap, that way you can get a whole season.

My five cents is that Calafiori might be the most important player in the team the way we're currently playing, and he has a knee that is good every other weekend and never more than two games away from a disaster. It makes a lot of sense to get a good backup immediately. Myles doesn't play that way.
