awooga83 I think it does. It's why I asked how does one evaluate the Madueke transfer come end of season. For me, it's about how much does he allow us rest Saka in "lesser" games like Carling Cup, early stage FA Cup, play only about 3/4s of the full 90 in league games, and even some champions league games, without us dropping points. If he facilitates this, and ensures Saka is fit and fresh for the business end of the season for me he would have been an outstanding success.
There are not many players of or close to Saka's level available, that's just fachts, and so the recipe for success is to make sure our best 11, (including and esp Saka) is as fresh as possible through the course of a long, hard season. It's a tactics and squad game these days as much as it is player quality.
