TambourineMan can't imagine Madueke is going. He's just been at the CWC. Going to be a frustrating time waiting for him and we might need to cut him some extra slack for the first month or so of the season because it.

TambourineMan if we get in Gyokeres, Eze and one of Moqquera or Hato we'd have an excellent squad with loads of depth. I'd call that a massively successful summer. Definitely a 9/10. If we lose Nwaneri that drops to a 0.

Mirth Mosquera thing has gone very quiet. I know we have had bigger fish to fry but it seems nearly done when the story broke. Hard to know if its gone quiet cos its as good as done or because we've backed out.

ST regardless of outgoings and unless something goes monumentally wrong, it'll be Gyokores.
8/10/LW, Eze as a Trossard or potential Nwaneri replacement. If both stay, we probably don't do any further business here.
Mosquera, depth.

Outgoings: Zinny, Trossard and if we can, all the guys on loan last season that are surplus to requirements. If things go badly, maybe Nwaneri.

No dedicated LW is expected, there have been no credible links. It looks like it'll be Martinelli's spot to start the season.

Nothing else in midfield which makes sense.

TambourineMan Looks about right, I think if we shift a few players (Zinchenko, Kiwior, Vieira, Lokonga, Trossard, Reiss) I wonder if we make a move for Rodrygo, that one looks like it will drag on for a bit and I don't think it is certain he will move. So important to get other business done. But then again are we signing Noni, Eze and Rodrygo? Would be incredible statement of intent but I'll believe that when it happens!

While I believe we're interested in Mosquera, I think the club will be willing to roll that transfer until next season if Valencia play hard ball.

Gyokeres feels as close to certain as it can be at this stage and Eze seems like it's 70% there.

Mirth agreed, Mosquera is optional and it's Eze only if Trossard or Nwaneri leave so 70% is fair. If one of them go, I'm confident we get it across the line.

They don't honour it in writing either unfortunately as shown by the Suarez case. But more importantly, what are you going to do if their word is all they offer you? The club doesn't have to put anything in writing that they don't want. The issue here is not the burden of proof; both parties already know exactly what was being said. It's that one party doesn't honor the agreement, in whatever form it was made.

I don't approve of players refusing to play, but I think Sporting are the ones at fault here. First they promise not to sell their manager if he stays, and then they go back on that word and ship him in november to United. Then they promise him a set amount he can leave for - and this was clearly used during negotiations with clubs like United, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid during the season - and then the president goes back on that word too.

What happened here is that he had the best season in the last 50 years of Portuguese football and the president wanted to squeeze more millions out of the deal, and then got angry when Gyökeres undermined him by refusing any other clubs than Arsenal. I hope we sign him and then stay away from Sporting from now on, you can't make business with people like this twice.
