Think I'd have more faith in Williams' physicality over Rodrygo's tight dribbling but being pushed over by an English breeze. Not as if Nico lacks anyway.
Nico is definitely more plug-and-play in our current tactical setup and in the Premier League, but Rodrygo has more upside in terms of end product IMO. He could hit 15-20 goals playing for us. And he needs to get stronger but he's not exactly a softy – his work rate is excellent, and he has no problem working for the team. The question is more how to accommodate a left winger who wants to drift inside, given our inverting LB, and our LCM who likes to burst forward into the box.

Good comp shows more of his link up play.. starting to get more excited about him, looks very well rounded.. he is still a bit of a project which is a risk but he is at the age where he will be putting all together soon, and if he can rise to the challenge of joining a big club, we would have some player on our hands..

Yeah. The squad @Sicario2 posted is good and realistically probably more than what we'll manage this summer, and it's still a team that likely isn't enough if Ødegaard either gets injured or isn't back to his best.

daredevil I agree it'd be nice to have a real alternative to Ødegaard, but we have four quality players who are going to play a lot of minutes at 8 in Øde, Rice, Merino, and Havertz. Only one proper nimble 'creator' in there, but whoever you're signing would probably be a fifth-choice #8. Trossard and/or Nwaneri could probably fit that role. And we tend to play a very physical/powerful spine of the team and rely on the wings for creativity.
CPM I think this is how management see it which is annoying as in some games the physical, powerful spine really struggles to attack through the centre and going to the wings leaves our wingers with 2 men on them and unless you have a moment of inspiration the struggle to score is real.
We should have the option of playing 2 creators in the middle for some games.
