JazzG if they don't trust Raya then I'm done with them. We've already had a costly goalkeeper saga. Raya is one of the best around lets just get on with sorting the rest of the squad.

Qwiss Raya is very good but it looks like this more a market opportunity to acquire one of the best upcoming keepers than us actively looking to replace Raya. The kind of form Garcia is in this season he'd cost a hell of a lot more than €30m normally.

Qwiss how was it costly? You still want Ramsdale here? Arteta made the right call and has been proven right in hindsight. Ramsdale is a relegation keeper and was rightly
sold and upgraded.

I know Inaki loves getting a shiny new GK to work with every couple of years but this really isn't a priority right now. If we can get a deal and send him out on loan, then great but that seems pretty unlikely given the costs quoted. I'm sure there's someone markedly cheaper we can bring in who'd be a competent 2nd choice.

JazzG get Garcia and put him on the bench for a year and if he proves himself he can be our number 1 in 2026/2027. Even as prob the biggest Raya fan on this forum I’m all about competition and let the best man win.

We can’t have Raya playing every single game next season like he’s done this year.

Since we already have a top goalkeeper at a good age, I'd rather miss out on buying the greatest goalkeeper ever than compromise on forwards. We need two forwards.

Sicario2 we dropped points due to Artetas "we have two number ones" bullshit. Raya is better but that was still a shambles in how it was dealt with. Lost money on Ramsdale too.

The signing makes sense. Some of Raya's data reads like a defender. He is putting in a lot of work, and it would make sense to have a strong understudy who can come in and not disturb the team. The other guy we had this season was nowhere near the level

Do we really think Arteta would do that? It didn't come to fruition with Ramsdale and Mikel still errs on the side of caution when it comes to rotating outfield players.

Don Pacifico not sure how true this is. our squad usage is largely in line with other big teams. ran some pareto analyses this year and last year and didn't suggest we weren't rotating. it's probably been forced better than say Liverpool by our injuries but would still be in line with other teams

The way the fans turned their noses up at Aubameyang when Arsenal signed him reminds me of the reactions towards Gyökeres right now. Same complete befuddlement just because the aesthetics weren't right. Golden boot winner arriving with a neat bow on top to a club where the strikers struggled to hit double digits, and people were still moaning.

Gazza M he was absolutely invisible in both of our ties. I have my doubts on him handling the EPL intensity and physicality, especially at what he would cost.
